Download a quilting game to play with the whole family. It is so cute! You choose fabric, then place the correct fabric in the correct place on the block. As you solve the block puzzles, you use them to build your own quilt.
Fun for adults and kids alike.

I started a baby quilt for my neighbor’s 6-week old baby girl. I began it 3 days ago and I already have it ready to quilt. I can’t believe how it just all fell right into place. I even had a piece of batting just exactly the right size.
The fabric is a little cat print from South Seas Imports. I just had a small piece of the coordinating, turquoise, zig-zag print so I used it for sashing and in the checker border.
I’m trying to come up with ideas for how to quilt it. I thought maybe little mouse motifs or something… Anyone have any ideas for me?

“Know the true value of time: snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment
of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination; never put off till
tomorrow what you can do today.” — Lord Chesterfield
In the quilting realm there are basically 2 kinds of “un-finished” quilts. Ones that are started and are actively being worked on are called W.I.P. (works in progress). Those quilts which we’ve lost interest in, and may or may not ever finish are called U.F.O. (unfinished objects).
Finishing things is hard sometimes. I’m a chronic un-finisher. Lately, I’ve been really trying to focus on finishing my W.I.P.s and also my U.F.O.s. Since I’m also a chronic list-maker, below is an organized list of them all. I’m hoping this will encourage me, and not just make me feel overwhelmed.
Finished Quilts (in the last few years):
Finding Nemo (twin size)
Red, White, & Blue RailFence (Lap size)
Eye-Spy baby quilt
Witchy Poo (wall hanging)
Strawberry Jars (wall hanging)
Halloween Jars (wall hanging)
Nativity Log Cabin (twin size)
Touch quilt (lap size)

Looking good, but wait — here are the ones I have only made the tops for:
MN Hot Dish (lap size)
Woodsy Log Cabin (lap size)
Halloween Jars (wall hanging)
Pumpking Patch Applique (wall hanging)
Flannel baby quilt
Golden Log Cabin (lap size)
Dinosaur Panels (twin size)
Wait — here’s more. Blocks waiting to be made into quilt tops:
Plain Ladies Swap (14? blocks)
Swap blocks of my own (15? blocks)
Eye-Spy Lap size (20? blocks)
Thanksgiving stars wall hanging (7 blocks)
Wishing star teddy bears baby quilt (12 blocks)
Thimbleberries Applique Christmas wall hanging
Hancock’s Block of the month 2004 (12 blocks - only 6 finished)
Winter 9-patch (15?)
Kitty Kat blocks (11)
Kandy Korn Paper-Pieced wall hanging (1 block finished)
Telephone Applique wall-hanging
Applique blocks (3)
1930’s Applique Butterfly wall hanging (5)
Floral block quilt in queen size
Wow! I better get crackin’! This most recent quilt I’ve completed is the RWB Railfence that I hand quilted to look like fireworks exploding. I’m currently machine quilting the Golden Log Cabin. I hope to have it done by Saturday for my quilt workshop. I’m also currently hand-quilting the Dinosaur Panel Quilt.
